Senator Eric Schmidt (R-MO) on Tuesday tore into the Democrats for trashing ICE and supporting sanctuary policies that have led to the murder of countless American citizens in response to Democrats asking so-called victims of ICE to stand up during a Senate hearing.
Kristi Noem testified on Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she took questions on her leadership of ICE.
Senator Eric Schmidt began his time for questioning by highlighting American citizens who were murdered by illegal immigrants and went off on the Democrats for nearly 8 minutes before asking questions of Noem.
“Since we’re having folks stand up,” he began, “I would have Laken Riley stand up. I would have Kayla Hamilton stand up. I would have Jocelyn Nungaray stand up. I would have Rachel Moran stand up. I would have the beautiful sons and daughters, who were murdered by illegal immigrants, stand up.”
He continued, “but they can’t, because they’re dead. They were murdered by illegal immigrants that were let into this country by Joe Biden.”
He further highlighted the other cases of illegal aliens, whom Democrats are fighting to keep in our country by denying ICE’s attempts to deport them, killing Americans, including Stephanie Minter, a Virginia woman whose killer is now being protected by Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger.
“Forgive me if I don’t want to be lectured by the Democrats on this point. I would think in a different time and a different place, that we could all actually agree that if somebody is here illegally and they’re being released from prison, that we would let federal law enforcement know about it. Apparently not.”
He also went down a list of criminal illegal aliens who are being protected by the Democrats.

And I think it’s important to set the stage, since we’re having this oversight hearing. So, to set the stage of how we got here. Five years ago, something was done that had never been done in the history of our country. We had a president who willfully ignored immigration laws and immigration enforcement, threw open the border to 15 million— million people, who are here illegally. Tens of Thousands of murderers, hundreds of thousands of hardened violent criminals. And we can debate why. I know why. They’re trying to pump up the numbers for their congressional districts because they lost the case with the American people.
This came after Richard Blumenthal grilled Noem on illegal aliens who were allegedly arrested or detained by ICE and asked Leonardo Garcia Venegas, Javier Ramirez, and Miramar Martinez to stand in the back of the room, while accusing ICE of targeting people for being Mexican.
