R&B singer Cassie Ventura pocketed a whopping $20 million settlement in her bombshell 2023 lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs — which opened the floodgates of claims against the hip-hop mogul, it was revealed in court Wednesday.
The previously-unknown figure came out near the end of Ventura’s questioning by prosecutors in Manhattan federal court, as she was asked about the lawsuit that spurred criminal charges against the Bad Boy Records founder.
“Who paid you $20 million?” prosecutor Emily Johnson asked Ventura just before finishing up her direct examination of the star witness.

“Sean and his companies,” Ventura answered.
Ventura’s explosive civil case laid out similar claims to those she has testified two over the past two days in at his criminal sex-trafficking and racketeering trial.

The mom-of-two — whose full name is Casandra Ventura — brought the lawsuit on Nov. 16, 2023.
She settled with the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper within a day.
Ventura’s disturbing allegations ultimately prompted the feds to launch a probe into Combs.
But the settlement amount was kept under wraps until her testimony Wednesday.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty.
His lawyers have said his alleged victims actually took part in so-called “freak-off” sex marathons with male escorts willingly, and that while he may be guilty of domestic abuse in regards to Ventura, he was not a sex-trafficker.
Ventura is expected to be back on the stand Thursday, to be cross-examined by Combs’ defense team.
