Cassie Ventura recalled in Manhattan court Wednesday how Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly raped her following their 2018 break-up.
The attack allegedly took place on the same day that the R&B singer met with Combs — who she had dated for about a decade beginning when she was around 19 — in order to seek closure over their tumultuous relationship, she said at his federal sex-trafficking trial.
Ventura, now 38, told jurors she met up with Combs to resolve lingering issues at a restaurant in Malibu, California, where her former partner was “being really nice,” “laughing” and giving off “kind of romantic vibes” during the “playful” encounter.
But everything changed when the disgraced producer brought her back to her home, went inside and raped her, Ventura testified.

“I just remember crying and saying ‘No,’ but it was very fast,” Ventura recalled.
She chillingly described how Combs’ eyes went “black” and he ignored her tears during the terrifying ordeal.
The mother of two, who is eight months pregnant with her third child, said Combs “got up and he left” when the sexual assault was over.

Ventura said the attack happened around the same time she started dating her current husband, Alex Fine, with whom she shares her children.
She later said she had sex with Combs, 55, one more time, “but [it was] not my choice.”
When describing the alleged rape, Ventura spoke slowly and softly, her voice catching a couple of times.
There were a couple of moments where she nearly choked up, but she kept taking pauses, collecting herself in deep breaths, and then continuing to testify.
It came at the end of two grueling days on the stand for Ventura, who will be back Thursday to be cross-examined by Combs’ defense attorneys.
At the very end of her testimony Wednesday, Ventura broke down into tears when discussing how she went into rehab and trauma therapy in 2023 after years of alleged horrific abuse.
Asked what prompted her to enter rehab, she responded, wiping the tears from her eyes with a tissue, “I couldn’t take the pain that I was in anymore. So I tried walking out the front door into traffic and my husband would not let me.”
Ventura quietly wept as she explained why she decided to write a book about her experience.
“I don’t think he understood… actually recognize the pain he put me through,” she testified.
She then choked up and gestured with her arms as she said, “I just wanted him to understand.”
Before leaving the stand, she stood up, and rested both of her hands on her belly. She then walked out of the room.
Combs, who is accused of trafficking women for sex during so-called “freak-offs” and other crimes, could end up behind bars for the rest of his life, if convicted.
He has pleaded not guilty.
