Congressman Mast Accuses CNN Host Kaitlan Collins Of ‘Covering’ For Biden

Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) slammed left-wing CNN host Kaitlan Collins this week after she provided political cover for the Biden-Harris administration over their disastrous withdraw from Afghanistan while attacking Republican presidential nominee with an unsubstantiated story that has received strong pushback.

Mast appeared on CNN’s “The Story” Friday night where Collins claimed that Trump denigrates U.S. service members.

“He does not denigrate our military. He loves our military,” Mast fired back. “President Trump is the candidate, J.D. Vance is the candidate that want to make sure our individuals, that their service is not squandered, like what happened with the withdrawal from Afghanistan.”

“Harris and Biden, they squandered the service, of every veteran that served in Afghanistan, because of that withdrawal, because they failed to talk about the failures that exists there,” Mast continued. “They look at us as disposables.”

Collins, immediately after relying on hearsay to attack Trump, defended the Biden-Harris administration over actions that they took that resulted in 13 U.S. service members getting killed during their disastrous withdraw from Afghanistan.

“They see us as disposable,” Mast said. “When President Biden goes out onto a tarmac, checks his watch, they’re seeing us as disposable individuals. They don’t calculate the cost of war, for when you come home. Right now, let’s talk about a factual thing. If you’re in the VA, right now, and you’re getting care for mental health counseling, in the community, the Harris-Biden administration is trying to strip you of your community care. They want you to come back into the VA, no matter the wait times.”

“That’s the population, most vulnerable, 22 veterans a day commit suicide,” he added. “That’s the Harris-Biden administration.”

Collins immediately jumped to the defense of the Biden-Harris administration saying that the notion that they don’t appreciate military service was “unfair.”

“You’re talking about words of President Trump versus literal actions of the Biden administration,” Mast fired back. “Again, and I’ll use these words, they got out there, and they treat our service … [members] like we are disposable. And we are not. And that’s the way that his administration has treated service members, on the battlefield, and those that came home, as though we’re disposable items that you can get rid of.”

Mast blasted collins in a post on X, writing: “New low for @CNN . @kaitlancollins , you’re invalidating painful experiences of Afghanistan vets to cover for Biden. Letting him off the hook because ‘his son served in the military’ is like letting an arsonist free because he’s related to a firefighter! We are not disposable!”
