Harrowing video captured the moment a car came barreling through the living room of a Phoenix home as a couple had just sat down to eat.
Marcus Holmberg and Sabrina Rivera were in the living room with three of their four dogs when an out-of-control Mustang plowed through their wall, propelling them both backwards.
Rivera, who was over by the couch closest to the wall before the crash, was blown against the wall, seemingly sideswiped by the car.
Nearly the entire wall was demolished. Rubble and debris collapsed all around them, but Rivera and Holmberg were only left with minor scrapes and injuries.
“It was like a bomb went off,” Holmberg told 12News. “It comes smashing in and just, it’s there.”
“It happened so quick. It was so explosive.”
The dogs were left unscathed, Holmberg shared on his TikTok account.
The 18-year-old driver of the Mustang, who police said was impaired at the time of the crash, was arrested.
The couple have a long road ahead of them, though. On top of the repairs to their home, Holmberg said that he also needs to pay for repairs to his truck.
