Elderly woman decapitated as she plunged to her death from tony NYC building: ‘She had no head’

An 80-year-old woman jumped to her death from an Upper East Side Apartment building Saturday — and was left decapitated as her body hit the side of the building on the way down, witnesses and cops said.

The unidentified woman leaped from the 28th floor of the tony Park Regis Apartments at about 3:30 p.m., cops said.

Witnesses said her body became entangled on something on the side of the tower, which had numerous balconies, and was decapitated.

“I pulled up just as she was laying there, she had no head,” a building resident told the Post on Saturday.

“The head and the arm were clean cut off on the other side, they ended up on the terrace.”

The NYPD did not immediately release the victim’s identity or a possible motive for taking her own life.

Her clothes were stuck on a fence near the bottom of the building, which was bent from the impact, witnesses said.

Witnesses said the woman threw herself off the building but her body hit a fence on the way day, leaving her decapitated and shirtless.

“Everyone started rushing towards the body but she was gone,” said a 23-year-old who witnessed the direct aftermath of the fatal incident.

“Her body landed there but her head and leg hit the fence there, you can see it’s bent, there were clothes and blood stuck there.”

Witnesses said the woman lived on the 28th floor of the 33-story building.

The elderly woman was the second jumper who plunged to their death on Saturday.

Police said a 52-year-old man jumped from a 17th floor balcony of his 22-story building in Chelsea in an apparent suicide around 5 a.m.

The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene and police did not release the victim’s identity.

A grief-stricken woman, believed to be the wife, was seen sobbing and visibly shaken outside 315 West 25 St. following the fatal incident.
