Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, two former Democrats, will be joining former President Donald Trump’s transition team to help bolster support in battleground states — with just 70 days to go until the election.

The announcement comes after the Democratic defectors enthusiastically endorsed the Republican nominee. Trump, 78, had already chosen his transition team before the two endorsements but decided to add the duo following the significant show of support.

Kennedy, a member of one of the most famous Democratic dynasties in American history, endorsed the former president Friday after dropping his own presidential campaign.

Gabbard, a former Democratic representative in Hawaii who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, endorsed Trump Monday during a surprise appearance at a National Guard conference in Detroit.

“As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have been added to the Trump/Vance Transition team,” Trump adviser Brian Hughes said.

“We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team as we work to restore America’s greatness.”

The former Dems will focus on the critical battleground states, according to a source close to the Trump campaign.

“Expect both RFK Jr. and Tulsi to be very active on the campaign trail for Trump over the next two months. These weren’t just fleeting endorsements, they’re both fully on the team and will be utilized in battleground states regularly,” the source said.

The pair will help rally voters against Vice President Kamala Harris’ “disastrous and authoritarian policies,” Hughes told The Post.

“Along with their endorsements, voters around the country will see RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard helping inform voters of the existential threat to our nation posed by Kamala’s continuation of the disastrous and authoritarian policies Harris and Biden have imposed for the last four years,” the adviser said.

The transition team also includes former Trump team leaders Linda McMahon and Howard Lutnick as co-chairs and several honorary chairs, including Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, and two of his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.

The coalition is responsible for vetting a future administration, establishing a policy plan and handling a White House rollout so the president would be ready to govern on day one.

RFK Jr. and Gabbard will now round out the broader coalition of Trump backers.
