An actress who has appeared on “Blue Bloods” and “Gossip Girl” vanished from her Los Angeles apartment two weeks ago, according to her concerned family — who have accused her new husband of not helping them hunt for her.
Chanel Maya Banks, 36, has not been heard from since Oct. 30, when she last texted her cousin Danielle-Tori Singh.
“Five days without hearing from my cousin is red flags and alarm bells,” Singh told ABC 7 Eyewitness News. “She doesn’t go more than 48 hours without speaking to me or her mom…That girl is more like a big sister to me,” the cousin said.
“In my soul and in my gut, something is not right. Something is up. We’re now crossing more than two weeks now with not a word, not a sound, nothing.”
Authorities conducted welfare checks at the Playa Vista apartment Banks shares with her husband of one year and found her belongings and dog there, but nothing pointing them to where she may have gone.
Singh, who flew in from Toronto to help search for her cousin, has started distributing “Missing Person” posters in Banks’ neighborhood.
While she and other members of the family grow increasingly worried, she says Banks’ husband has not put in the same effort to locate his missing wife, suggesting it is “suspicious.”
“He’s not willing to help LAPD. He’s not willing to help me or her mom find her. He is removing flyers off of posts and cars,” Singh alleged.
Banks’ husband, who was not named in a fundraiser or local reports, does not appear to have responded to the cousin’s claims.
The LAPD did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment early Wednesday.
However, the family says the LAPD has told them that there are no signs of foul play in the case, and “her husband has not committed any crime by withholding information,” the fundraiser noted.
The family hopes to use the money the raise to hire a private investigator to help in their search.
Banks appeared in popular shows such as “Blue Bloods,” “Twelve” and “Gossip Girl,” and sometimes acted under the name Chanel Farrell, according to her IMDB page.
