ICE captured another round of illegal immigrant criminals in Minneapolis over the weekend — including child abusers and drug pushers — as the largest-ever operation of its kind will reportedly soon be reinforced by up to another 1,000 agents.
Among those arrested and now slated from removal from the US are a Somalian national with multiple arrests for credit card fraud and drug trafficking, a Mexican citizen previously arrested for child cruelty and battery and an illegal alien from Thailand busted for possessing 200 tablets of ecstasy, officials told The Post.
The agency charged ahead with “Operation Metro Surge” even in the face of headwinds from anti-ICE protesters emboldened by lefty pols following last week’s deadly shooting of Renee Good, who was killed when she veered her SUV into the path of an agent while attempting to flee after blocking the street.
“As rioters and sanctuary politicians demonized and attempted to obstruct our brave ICE law enforcement, they continued to remove the worst of the worst from Minnesota,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
“We will not let rioters or sanctuary politicians slow us down from arresting and removing the worst of the worst from Minnesota neighborhoods.”
Some 2,000 immigration agents have been deployed to the Twin Cities over the last week, the largest such enforcement operation ever in the region, netting hundreds of arrests so far.
But the surge of agents is still ramping up, according to sources cited by CNN, which say another 1,000 immigration officers are joining the effort.
Some of the criminal illegal immigrants busted by ICE over the weekend in Minnesota include:
- Mohamud Farah Mohamed, a criminal illegal alien from Somalia with arrests for multiple counts of credit card fraud, drug possession and controlled substance possession and drug trafficking. He was issued a final order of removal in 2022.
- Saeb Sivixay, of Laos, who has three prior convictions for selling amphetamines as well as convictions for assault and contributing to a minor’s delinquency. His final order of removal was issued in 2009.
- Ignacio Gonzalez-De La Rosa, in the US illegally from Mexico, who was previously arrested for child cruelty and battery.
- Ever Joel Lopez Del Cid, previously arrested for carrying a weapon, aggravated assault and obstructing justice.
- Miguel Salvador-Reyes a Mexican national arrested previously for cruelty toward a child.
- Mario Yubany Fuentes-Sanchez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras previously arrested for terroristic threats and domestic violence.
- Tong Sphabmisay, a criminal illegal alien from Thailand, with a conviction for possession of 200 tablets of Ecstasy.

The agency has vowed to see these criminal thugs, some of whom were issued final orders of removal more than two decades ago, deported from the US once and for all.
