Jaylen Brown’s Beverly Hills event shut down by cops as Celtics star brutally slams city

Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown is furious after Beverly Hills police shut down his NBA All Star Weekend event Saturday night — and now he’s blasting the cops and their bougie city on social media.

“Beverly Hills is so trash I’m offended had a great panel about the future of culture with great guest people worked hard for this how dare y’all,” the NBA star posted on X.

Brown also posted an encounter with a Beverley Hills cop. In the video, the NBA guard asks the cop “for a clear reason” why the event is being shut down, adding he feels “targeted.”

“Who’s shutting this down?” demands Brown.

“That’s above my pay grade,” the officer responds before later adding, “The city.”

The two appear to be in front of a mansion during the interaction.

Brown claims the event wasn’t a party, rather, it was a panel and it was only 7 p.m. in the evening, and that music “was playing in the daytime.”

“Well, you applied for a permit, the permit was denied and you guys still had the event.” the officer answers.

“We are just trying to have an event, a panel talking about culture, talking about future, talking about leadership. I feel like we’re being targeted,” the frustrated NBA star says to the camera.

The video ends with a man screaming into a microphone, “You ain’t got the answers.”

Brown has a nonprofit organization, Boston XChange, which aims to build generational wealth and foster cultural innovation in underserved and underrepresented communities.

It’s unclear whether the event was held by Brown’s organization.

Calls to the Beverly Hills Police Department were referred to its code enforcement department, which is yet to respond to The California Post.
