Leftists are staging a dramatic 24-hour boycott of big-name corporations today, raging against the rollback of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
From midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, they’re swearing off Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, McDonald’s, and “other fast-food joints.” A viral flyer begs participants to pre-shop and, hilariously, “only grab essentials” on Friday — because nothing says rebellion like half-hearted sacrifice. DEI’s demise has them so riled up that they’ll skip lattes and Big Macs to flex their “power.”
“Disrupting the economy for even one day sends a powerful message,” the flyer states. “If they don’t listen we make the next blackout longer. Our numbers are powerful. This is how we make history!”
One of the leftists pushing for a boycott today is John Schwarz, who goes by the name “TheOneCalledJai” on Instagram, told USA Today that the time was right for a boycott because people are frustrated with corporate greed among other issues. Apparently it’s frustrating that some companies are backing away from race-centered hiring and business practices.
Other boycotts are being organized by Rev. Al Sharpton, who said earlier this week that his organization, National Action Network, will look to walk out on other companies in the near future.
“We have convened a council with our partners to examine what companies have reneged on DEI, what their profit margins are, and how we can use Black buying power to make a statement,” Sharpton said.

Angry leftists are planning to boycott brands that are “abandoning” DEI, yet these same corporations were proudly and openly woke up until Trump’s historic re-election. The pendulum has swung in terms of branding optics as businesses respond to market forces and consumer preferences, but woke is likely still lurking just beneath the surface, waiting for its moment to re-emerge once the leftist employees of these businesses feel confident enough to push their own agenda once again.
