A Long Island man drowned while trying to rescue a woman and her child from the ocean during a family vacation to Bermuda.

Jamie Lambros, 48, drowned in Bermuda earlier this month.

Jamie Labros, 48, died on Oct. 7 while trying to help the woman and her 10-year-old son at Horseshoe Bay Beach, according to the obituary released by his family.

The mom and son survived, but hero Lambros did not.

The Deer Park resident was on a cruise with 11 relatives when tragedy struck, his family said.

“He was my hero when I was a kid and he was my hero now,” Lambros’ brother, Joey Pappas, told WABC.

“Me and him never split up, and the one time we split up, this happens,” he lamented.

The heartbroken family is now hoping to educate other travelers about the beach, which is advertised to cruise lines without noting the risks.

Lambros' family said the beach did not have adequate signs up about the water conditions.

“There’s no rescue skis, there’s no emergency teams that’s gonna get there in time,” Phyllis Gasparri, Lambros’ mother, said.

“We want change, we want tourists to be safe, we never want anyone else to feel this pain ever,” Pappas added.

There were warnings about rough waters at the beach due to hurricane season, the Bermuda Police told WABC.

The authorities did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment on the incident.

As of Friday afternoon, a GoFundMe for Lambros’ funeral costs had raised over $38,000 of its $50,000 goal.

“Jamie was so much more than a son, brother, uncle, cousin, godfather and friend — he was the life of every party, someone whose laughter filled any room, and whose heart was as big as his spirit,” the page read.
