The LAPD were called to the scene at 9:36 a.m. and the gunman immediately opened fire on officers, police told The Post.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
Video showed multiple LAPD patrol vehicles and at least two ambulances near the California Science Center parking lot, adjacent to Exposition Rose Garden, NBC Los Angeles reported.
