Their love will light up the Great White Way this Valentine’s Day.
Married couple Hannah Cruz and Edred Utomi are starring in Broadway shows next door to each other on West 46th Street — so even though they both have two performances on Feb. 14, they can still sneak in a quick kiss.
“We’ll probably . . . give each other a little hug between shows. That would be nice,” Cruz told The Post.
“But then we’ll celebrate the Monday after. We go back and forth every year as to who plans it. And last year I planned it, so this year Edred is.”
Utomi teased, “I can’t give it away because it’s a surprise.”
Utomi, 34, stars as Alexander Hamilton in “Hamilton” at the Richard Rodgers Theatre and Cruz, 33, plays Svetlana in “Chess,” the wife of the man with whom Lea Michele’s character is having an affair, at the Imperial Theatre.
“Hamilton” has an earlier curtain time than “Chess,” which is lucky for Utomi, since he can sign autographs at the stage door and still commute back home with Cruz to their Battery Park apartment.
“It normally works out if we have a two-show day because Hannah’s second show starts at 7:30 and mine always starts at 7. So it gives me half an hour to sign,” he said.
The lovebirds met in 2018 during the first national tour of “Hamilton,” where Utomi played Hamilton and Cruz, his wife Eliza.
Since their characters had to kiss on stage three times per show, the pair realized early on that they had chemistry.
“For sure. He won’t say it, he’s afraid, but I will,” Cruz, a Newtown, Conn. native, said, laughing.
The problem was she had a boyfriend at the time.
“So I wasn’t trying to be a homewrecker or anything like that,” said Utomi, who grew up in San Diego.
By 2020, Cruz had split with her boyfriend, so during the pandemic, while Cruz was in New York and Utomi was in San Diego, they got closer.
“We would play video games [virtually] until 3 a.m. together at home. I had family game nights over Zoom with all my siblings and I would invite her,” he said.
It was in August 2021 when Utomi visited Cruz while he was in New York for a “Hamilton” costume fitting, that they officially became a couple.
“That’s when I was like, ‘OK, what are we doing?’” Utomi said.
“He sat me down over dinner and was like, ‘If we date, we’re getting married. So make your decision now as to whether or not you’re ready,’” Cruz recalled.
“I was like, ‘I’m not dating for six months and then calling it quits. I’m trying to find a wife,’” Utomi added.
Utomi popped the question on stage on his last night on the “Hamilton” tour in 2023 — with both sets of their families present.
“That night was supposed to be all about him. The selfless man that he is, he made his night all about us,” Cruz gushed.
Last month, the newlyweds filmed a video of themselves waving to one another from their respective theaters that went viral, with more than 2 million views on Instagram and TikTok.
It was so popular that they made a follow-up video, where in the comments section, “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote, “There is a secret tunnel that connects the two theaters and I will show you next time I’m there.”
Miranda followed up on this promise.
“He actually stopped by my dressing room to tell me all about it,” Utomi said.
“We haven’t used it yet because apparently it’s locked from the ‘Hamilton’ side. So if I’m going to her theater, it’s locked. But she can come to my theater, but she has yet to find me during the intermission. But we will use it at some point for sure.”
