A young man was beaten and stabbed to death in Times Square early Monday by three thugs who are still being hunted, according to police and sources.
The 23-year-old was bashed with a baseball bat and then stabbed in the back and on his right thigh by the trio just after 1 a.m. near 49th Street and 7th Avenue, police and sources said.
The victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, was rushed to Bellevue hospital where he was pronounced dead, cops said.
Police are looking for three males in connection to the stabbing: one in a purple sweater and black ski mask; one in a black jacket, dark pants and brown boots; and another wearing all black, sources said.
It was not immediately clear what led to the stabbing.
