Police in New York are now looking for a gang of three individuals after one of them set a homeless man ablaze inside New York’s Penn Station.
Three suspects escaped and were only identified by what they were wearing, the New York Post reports.
Per the New York Post:
A pyromaniac goon set a sleeping homeless man on fire inside Penn Station while his ghoulish pals watched the carnage on Monday, cops and sources said.
The firebug torched the 37-year-old victim’s clothes as he was sprawled out in the Amtrak Rotunda of transit hub on West 31st Street near Seventh Avenue around 8:40 p.m., police said.
First responders quickly extinguished the blaze, and the victim was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.
By then, the punks had already fled the scene, and no arrests had been made by Tuesday.
Add this to the long list of violent crimes committed in New York’s transit system.
Three months earlier, in December 2025, a teen was arrested and charged with attempted murder after setting a man on fire on the subway near Penn Station.
Just a few weeks ago, a man was shot dead on a Bronx subway platform.
And who can forget about the woman who was set on fire inside a New York City subway car by a Guatemalan illegal alien just days before Christmas in 2024?
This is a developing story.
