Manhattan DA’s Office employee robbed of cell phone in NYC heist: sources

A Manhattan District Attorney’s Office employee was robbed of her cell phone by a thief in the East Village last month, law enforcement sources said.

The 24-year-old victim – described on her LinkedIn as a trial preparation assistant – was walking on East 4th Street near Avenue A around 6 p.m. Tuesday when the stranger suddenly grabbed her phone, the sources said.

The suspect ran off along East 4th Street and remains on the loose, cops said.

The young woman – who joined the DA’s office nearly two years ago – was not hurt during the stick-up.

Cops released surveillance Wednesday of the bespectacled suspect wearing a black bubble jacket with the hood pulled up, black pants and white sneakers.

The Manhattan DA’s Office did not respond to a request for comment, and the victim did not immediately return messages.

“I feel sorry for this guy,” a Manhattan cop told The Post of the elusive suspect. “He will probably get the book thrown at him. Meanwhile, the suspects who hit the police officers with snowballs and injured them got a slap on the wrist.”

Gusmane Coulibaly, 27, was the first suspect busted for allegedly slinging snowballs at NYPD cops in Washington Square Park after a late February blizzard — but caught a break when Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg declined to prosecute on the most serious charge of assault.

The alleged thief was last seen bundled up in dark-colored clothing.

He was granted supervised release during his arraignment.

The second alleged snowballer, Eric Wilson, Jr., was charged with only harassment and obstruction of governmental administration and was cut loose in court due to his age and lack of a criminal history.
