Megyn Kelly, Clay Travis, and others reacted on Wednesday to Vice President Kamala Harris‘ surprise press conference to talk about the hit piece on former President Donald Trump in The Atlantic.
The White House notified members of the press that Harris would be speaking from the Vice President’s residence at the Naval Observatory. During the 15 minute speech, the VP compared Trump to “Hitler” and attacked the former president for a since-rebuked story about a slain U.S. soldier.
“Their closing message is all about Trump and Hitler (all recycled),” the host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast wrote on X. “Can you imagine how alarming their internal polls are?”
Ezra Cohen compared Harris’ move to the “Classic DC swamp playbook. Plant a fake story with a captured journalist/media outlet, then cite the fake story in a political attack. Similar to the fabricated Steele dossier story.”
The host of “The Jesse Kelly Show” wrote, “The Harris campaign has a billion dollars, an army of consultants, months to work on a plan, and the October surprise was the same ‘Trump is Hitler!’ drivel we’ve been hearing since he came down the escalator in 2015. This campaign ain’t gonna make it.”
Daily Wire Editor Emeritus and podcast host Ben Shapiro pointed out the actions of President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ administration.
“Hey, come to think of it, somebody should ask Kamala Harris why she wants to slow-walk aide to the Jews who want to fight people who literally agree with Hitler (Hamas and Hezbollah and Iranian government)?” Shapiro wrote. “Oh, she took no questions and walked away.”

Outkick’s Clay Travis told his followers that “Kamala just called a press conference to call Trump Hitler. This is all they have. She’s going to lose the popular vote. Keep early voting. The panic is palpable. She’s cooked.”
Monica Crowley said, “Kamala Harris out here smearing President Trump with grotesque lies. This is real desperation. She is flailing.”
Joe Concha took to social media and said, “The D nominee shares disputed story written by author with a horrible reputation. Said story is rebuked by several sources. She says nothing about her own plans for the country or current record, and proceeds to walk away without taking any questions. Yep- total game changer.”
The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway and others suggested Harris’ comments were some kind of “assassination prep” to get Trump killed.
“Very terrifying language laying the groundwork for more left-wing violence coming from Kamala Harris on the grounds of the Naval Observatory right now,” Hemingway wrote. “She now ramps up the assassination prep — calling the man who has already survived two assassination attempts a ‘fascist.’”
Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk wrote on X, “Kamala Harris instantly seizes upon an already DEBUNKED hoax from the Atlantic and weaponizes it to attack Donald Trump: ‘Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man who is responsible for the death of six million Jews.’ They’re going to get Trump killed. Pray.”
Trump’s Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung released a statement about Harris’ comments labeling her “a stone-cold loser who is increasingly desperate because she is flailing, and her campaign is in shambles.”
“That is why she continues to peddle outright lies and falsehoods that are easily disproven,” Cheung said in a statement. “The fact is that Kamala’s dangerous rhetoric is directly to blame for the multiple assassination attempts against President Trump and she continues to stoke the flames of violence all in the name of politics. She is despicable and her grotesque behavior proves she is wholly unfit for office.”
