Nicki Minaj was the highlight of the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, and she wasn’t even in the building.
The fireworks began when host Trevor Noah took a swipe at the iconic rapper in his opening monologue, saying that Minaj was absent because she was “still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues.”
“Nicki Minaj is not here. She is not here,” Noah said.
Behind him, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend can be seen approving of her absence and throwing a thumbs-up.

“She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues,” Noah continued. He then impersonated President Donald Trump, saying, “Actually, Nicki, I have the biggest ass. I have it, everybody’s saying it Nicki. I know they say it’s you, but it’s me WAP, WAP, WAP. Look at it, baby.”
Minaj, who has been extremely outspoken in her support of Trump, even calling herself his number one fan, did not take the dig lying down.
Taking to X with a series of explosive posts, Minaj accused Noah of hiding his sexuality, writing, “Trevor refuses to come out the closet when everyone in the industry knows his boyfriend. Allegedly.”

Minaj claimed powerful figures in the industry have been “sacrificing children as a way of gaining & maintaining power” and warned that voting Democrat makes one “just as soulless as they are & will perish.”

Minaj continued, “Any Christian who votes democrat again is a fool. They’re showing people that it’s ok to disrupt a church during worship. This is how they truly feel about you. The veil is lifted. No morals. No integrity. It’s not enough for them to have an opinion, they’ve escalated to physical intrusion of places of worship. The demons inside of them are so bothered. All the time.”

Minaj, who has a longstanding feud with Jay-Z, also dragged him into the mix and called him a child predator.

The music icon next took aim at the Democrats.
They’re flying in immigrants to vote b/c they reneged on all the promises they made to African Americans & can no longer get the African American vote by default.

Minaj questioned why Democrats automatically get the “gay vote,” despite prioritizing immigrants.
