A Washington state couple is facing murder charges after police said they duped an out-of-towner into paying $1,500 to have sex with the woman only to be ambushed and killed when he showed up.
Jamari Khayelle Webb, 24, and his 26-year-old stripper gal pal, Ashley Danielle Arrieta, are charged with first- and second-degree murder for luring Hector Gonzalez Jimenez to a Tacoma hotel room where he was jumped and killed, The News Tribune reported.
Jimenez, 27, who was in town from Oregon, allegedly met Arrieta at Dream Girls at Foxes strip club in Parkland, and negotiated with her to have sex, sending her a $1,500 Zelle payment, the outlet said.
But when he showed up at the Holiday Inn in Tacoma on Aug. 25, Arrieta texted Webb a heart emoji — the signal that she had received the money and that he should storm into the room, according to prosecutors.
The next morning a hotel staffer later found Jimenez dead in the room with a gunshot wound to the chest — along with several clues that helped cops track down the accused killers.
Tacoma police recovered a white slip-on shoe, a broken necklace and a grocery store receipt that belonged to the couple, the Tribune said.
Meanwhile, hotel surveillance footage showed the pair leaving the room shortly before 3:30 a.m. while cops found the victim’s phone along Route 509.
Cops finally busted the pair and hauled them into court last week, KCPQ-TV News reported.
Both were ordered held on $1 million bail pending a court appearance next month.
