A pro-life group says that Planned Parenthood creates an abortion pipeline by embedding itself in sex education programs at schools across the country.

The American Life League is warning students to be vigilant across the country, pointing to a new analysis from the organization showing that Planned Parenthood resources are utilized by schools and teachers for sex education across the country.

“This often goes pretty undetected by people in the pro-life movement because I don’t think people see the connection between sex ed and abortion numbers,” American Life League National Director Katie Brown told The Daily Wire. “What Planned Parenthood does with their sex education is they are essentially creating their clientele base.”

Planned Parenthood’s influence can be through teacher training offered by the abortion giant or through sex-ed presentations with school districts.

For example, Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles has “educators” who teach sex education classes “with several key schools across Los Angeles.” Topics for these classes include “diverse orientations and identities,” and “cultural norms about sexual behaviors.”

According to its annual report for 2022-2023, Planned Parenthood said that it had trained 2,752 high school students in sex ed.

Planned Parenthood of LA also offers to train teachers in topics like “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” and “gender stereotypes.”

“We want parents to be really hyperaware of what their teachers are teaching in the classroom because the way Planned Parenthood has it set up is that a teacher can just go online” for training, Brown said.

Another affiliate of the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, created a program called “Sex Ed To-Go” for students to watch online. The far-Left curriculum attacks crisis pregnancy programs and suggests that people besides women can get pregnant.

In one of the training modules, called “Barriers To Abortion Care,” the instructor says that pro-life protections were “closely tied to racism and patriarchy.” It says pro-life laws were pushed by “male doctors,” though exceptions were made for “wealthy white women.”

The course also teaches kids how they can potentially bypass their parents’ consent when trying to get an abortion.

“Sometimes, the consent of a doctor, grandparent, or mental health professional can substitute for a parent’s consent,” the course says. “In some states, young people can use what’s called judicial bypass – where a young person goes before a judge to explain why they shouldn’t need or can’t get parental consent.”

Barriers include “missing school or work (and having to explain unexcused absences)” and “transportation barriers.”

“When people live in rural communities or in states where abortion is not legal, transportation barriers are even trickier as the trip to the nearest abortion-providing facility might be several hundred miles away,” the curriculum says. “Some abortion funds offer transportation support: either financial support to cover transportation or a network of volunteers who will help people travel to their abortion appointments.”

The course also says that “not all people who can become pregnant are women.”

“People across the gender spectrum — transgender, nonbinary, agender, gender-queer, gender-fluid, and more — can and do have abortions,” the course says.

The course takes aim at pro-life crisis pregnancy centers, accusing them of using “misinformation to discourage pregnant people from seeking abortion care.” An included worksheet asks students to determine whether something is a crisis pregnancy center (CPC) or an abortion facility.

Finally, it points students to the rabidly pro-abortion groups Shout Your Abortion and Abortion Out Loud.

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest did not respond to a request for comment on how many have used its sex education online resources.

Brown told The Daily Wire that the purpose of this program was to set the stage for kids to get abortions later on.

“The main goal here with all of these sex-ed programs is trying to get these kids early on so that when they do need services down the road they are going to, of course, turn to Planned Parenthood,” she said.

Planned Parenthood also has ties to colleges across the country. Planned Parenthood of North, Central, and South New Jersey promoted a “Back to School with Planned Parenthood!” back in August.

“As the end of summer approaches, many of you will be heading back to school, and for some of you, off to college for the first time. It’s an exciting (and potentially overwhelming) time!” Planned Parenthood announced. “We’re always here for all your sexual and reproductive health needs. Whether you need a wellness exam, are interested in birth control, want some free condoms (seriously – NSA), or just have questions, we have locations all across New Jersey.”

Brown said that it was wrong for schools to be working with Planned Parenthood and promoting their work.

“Public schools are allowing the organization that killed almost 393,000 preborn children by abortion in 2023 unfettered access to thousands of elementary, middle, and high school students in their classrooms,” she said.
