A rideshare driver was fatally shot in the head in the Bronx early Thursday – in what appears to be the city’s first homicide of the year, according to cops and a report.
The 55-year-old victim was found with a mortal gunshot wound to the head when cops responded to the intersection of Morris Avenue and the Cross Bronx Expressway in Mount Hope just before 7 a.m., police said.
Responding EMS workers pronounced him dead at the scene, authorities said.
The victim, who was not immediately identified by police, was a rideshare driver, WABC reported.
The city medical examiner’s office will officially determine how he died, cops said.
