A US Air Force member who posed as a teenager paid a 9-year-old Long Island girl cash for nude photos and videos — and even sent the girl’s mom a creepy selfie in an attempt to reconnect with the victim, Brooklyn federal prosecutors said Wednesday
David Ibarra, 31 — a senior airman stationed in Anchorage, Alaska — allegedly met the victim in August 2024 on TikTok and online gaming platform Roblox where he pretended to be a 13-year-old boy named “Dave” claiming to live in Texas, prosecutors said.
Ibarra then gave the girl his phone number and quickly started making sexual advances on her, telling the victim to send him naked videos of herself in exchange for cash, prosecutors said.
The service man, who is assigned to the Elmendorf Air Force Base, sent several sexually charged text messages to the victim, according to the feds — where he demanded the poor victim to pose nude for $191, according to the complaint against him.
The victim’s dad, who lives in Suffolk County, alerted the Suffolk County Police Department in September that the pervert had been paying his daughter for naked photos — which led to the feds to infiltrate his Apple iCloud account in November, uncovering several images of the victim.
Ibarra then attempted to contact the Long Island girl again on Jan. 11 when he started talking to the whom he believed to be the victim’s 15-year old sister — except it was the girl’s mother posing as her older daughter, the feds said.
During that conversation, Ibarra pleaded with the fake sister to help him reconnect with her younger sister — before he sent a close-up selfie, which shows his face with one hand in front of his mouth while flashing the middle finger.
Ibarra was arrested outside his home in Anchorage on Feb. 12, where he allegedly told federal agents that he believed the girl was 12-year-old and admitted to paying her for nudes.
He also admitted to communicating with other minors who have sent him sexual images, including a girl in New Jersey, court docs show.
The alleged perv pleaded not guilty to sexual exploitation of a child at his arrangement in Central Islip federal court.
US District Court Judge Joanna Seybert remanded Ibarra without bail at his arraignment.
Ibarra’s attorney, Evan Sugar of Long Island Federal Defenders, did not immediately respond to request for comment.
He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison if convicted of sexual exploitation of a child and coercion and enticement.
Ibarra is due back in court on June 6.
