Shocking video shows a mugger violently attacking an 83-year-old woman just after she collected cash from a lottery win.
The unidentified winner was seen walking from a store in Orlando, Florida just after 8 a.m. Wednesday when a man in a red shirt casually walks up.
He seems to back up when someone else comes out of the store — just to approach the elderly woman, who tries to turn away to protect the cash in her hand — just to get violently wrestled to the ground.
He ran off with $200, according to People magazine.
It was unclear if the victim was injured.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office initially shared the video of the woman being “violently robbed,” saying: “We need your help locating this suspect.”
It updated the post on Thursday, saying: “ARRESTED! Thanks to the help of our community, Tavarez Fleury has been caught and is in jail!”
He is charged with robbery, sudden snatching, and battery on a person 65 years of age or older, according to the sheriff’s office.
It is unclear if Fleury has entered a plea or retained an attorney to speak on his behalf.
