The transgender pal arrested with escaped “Slender Man” stabber Morgan Geyser has been arrested numerous times, including for domestic abuse — and would sneak in to see Geyser in her group home by climbing through the window, according to records.
Chad Mecca, 43, was arrested alongside Geyser, 23, at a truck stop in Poysen, Illinois, late Sunday, just over 24 hours after Geyser had cut off her ankle monitor with a pair of scissors and fled from the group home she was ordered to stay in more than 150 miles away in Madison, Wisconsin.
Mecca, who is listed as male in the arrest report but is described as a transgender woman by Geyser, has an array of arrests, court records seen by The Post show.
That includes charges in February last year for disorderly conduct/domestic violence and battery as a domestic abuse incident in Rock County, Wisconsin. Mecca was ordered to pay $50 plus costs after pleading no contest to disorderly conduct, while the battery charge was dismissed, the records show.
Geyser’s pal — who was seen with disheveled blue hair and in a low-cut pink top in a mug shot — also faced numerous traffic charges, including driving with a suspended license, running a red light, failing to wear a seat belt and not paying attention to the road, records show.
Mecca only recently met Geyser at a church in Madison. Authorities did not detail the exact nature of the pair’s relationship, but they became so close Mecca would sneak in to see Geyser in the group home that local authorities had bitterly fought her being allowed to move to, the docs show.
“[Geyser] stated that on multiple occasions, [Mecca] visited her at the group home by climbing her window and sneaking in,” stated the arrest report from when the pair were picked up on the run in Posen.
“When asked about her ankle monitor, she [Geyser] stated that she cut it off with scissors and that she and [Mecca] discussed potentially making their way to Nashville, Tennessee,” the report said, without detailing why they wanted to end up in Music City.
Mecca was reportedly unhappy with how Geyser was “treated” at her group home, where she moved in March despite health authorities warning of “red flags” that should keep her locked up in a psychiatric hospital.
“Due to her being mistreated at the group home and him not being able to visit her, they both decided to run away from the group home,” the police report stated.
The pair boarded a Greyhound Bus from Wisconsin to Chicago, before walking to the southside of the city, where they boarded a bus to Posen, where they ran out of money and stopped at the gas station.
Mecca was charged with criminal trespass and obstructing identification and released on a citation and a notice to appear in court.
Geyser was processed on a nationwide extradition warrant and was expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
In 2014, Geyser and another girl, Anissa Weier, lured classmate Payton Leutner into the woods and stabbed her 19 times.
She pleaded not guilty on grounds of insanity and spent several years in a mental hospital before being moved to a group home in March.
