A student shot two other pupils in a Tennessee high school cafeteria Wednesday before turning the gun on himself, according to authorities.
The Metro schools district in Nashville alerted families that “Antioch High School is on a lockdown due to shots being fired inside the school building.”
“The person responsible for the shooting is no longer a threat,” it said.
Police then said that “three people have been wounded, including the suspect, who shot himself.”
Neither cops nor the school said if any of the three had died.
However, a local pastor wrote on X: “The shooter shot himself in the head right in front of my daughter.”
All three were students, with the gunman shooting the other two in the cafeteria, officials told WSMV 4.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded to the scene, the network said.
