A Texas man allegedly shot a married couple he met through a dating app — claiming he fired at the couple in self defense after he said they tried to sexually assault him, according to authorities and reports.
Cops responded to a shooting in Dallas around 5:10 a.m. on Friday and discovered that two people had been shot by a known suspect, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Guadalupe Gonzalez, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband was brought to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
Noah Trueba, 26, was arrested at the scene and booked into jail on murder charges, cops said.
Trueba told authorities that he used drugs with the couple, who identified themselves as husband and wife. He also claimed to have met the pair on an online dating app, according to an affidavit obtained by Fox4.

He later told cops that the husband and wife tried to sexually assault him — prompting him to open fire on the couple, the affidavit said, per the outlet.
The shooting and motive remain under investigation, cops said.
