This forceful statement, delivered in the second part of an exclusive interview with the controversial British journalist Piers Morgan, stands as a conservative bulwark against the leftist tide dominating sports and global culture.
Ronaldo, the first soccer player to achieve billionaire status with an estimated fortune of one billion dollars thanks to his stints at Real Madrid, Manchester United, and now Al-Nassr, not only praised Trump’s vision but also posed with Morgan’s book Woke is Dead («Woke is Dead»), an anti-progressive manifesto that denounces the ideological agenda permeating soccer, from forced rainbow flags to censorship on social media.
On Thursday, Ronaldo joined President Trump at the White House.
