TMZ has acknowledged falsely reporting that Beyoncé would be taking the stage at Thursday’s Democratic National Convention.

On Thursday, the celebrity gossip outlet claimed that the “Alien Superstar” hitmaker was set to perform before Vice President Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic presidential nomination inside Chicago’s United Center.

However, the site was forced to come clean over its inaccurate report as the event wrapped up without the 32-time Grammy winner in sight.

“To quote the great Beyonce: We gotta lay our cards down, down, down … we got this one wrong,” TMZ wrote on X Thursday night.

The crowd was waiting until the last moment for the mega-star — only to find out there was no surprise musical performance.

Instead, Pink and her daughter Willow performed the singer’s hit song “What About Us” while country group The Chicks gave their rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

NBA star and Olympic gold medalist Stephen Curry also made an unexpected appearance via video, in which he said Harris will bring back “unity.”
