Former President Donald Trump gave a Pennsylvania mom of three $100 towards her groceries while promising to lower supermarket prices if he’s re-elected to the White House during a campaign stop Monday.
A video shared by his campaign team shows Trump handing a bill to a woman checking out at the grocery store, Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market, in Kittanning, Pa. as cameras surround the Republican nominee for president.
“Here, it’s gonna go down a little,” he says as he hands the woman the money. “It just went down 100 bucks.”
“Thank you so much,” the mom replies after chuckling with others.
“We’ll do that for you from the White House, alright?” Trump tells the woman before complimenting her sons.
“Beautiful,” he says before asking if they were her kids. “Perfecto.”
Trump has promised to tackle growing inflation and lower everyday costs of necessities like groceries and gas for Americans if he wins the November election.
The ex-president visited the local store and took home a large bag of popcorn ahead of his rally in Indiana, Pa. later that day.
He also held a town hall with local farmers in Smithton, Pa. earlier Monday — zoning in on towns near Pittsburgh in the key battleground state.
