Trump Says He Is Worried About Family’s Safety Following Assassination Attempts

Former President Donald Trump said in an interview that airs tonight that he is worried about the safety of his family and others after he survived two assassination attempts over the last few months.

Trump’s remarks to Fox News host Brian Kilmeade come after he was shot in the head in mid-July during a rally in Pennsylvania and he was nearly shot at again last weekend by a Democrat donor who was hiding on his golf course with a rifle.

“I do. I do,” Trump said when asked if he worried about his family’s safety. “I don’t talk about it, but I do. I have to worry about family. I have to worry about everybody. I worry about you.”

Trump said that the millions of illegal aliens that the Biden-Harris administration allowed into the U.S. have also made the country significantly more dangerous.

“Look, we’re under siege and no country has ever suffered like we have for the last three-and-a-half, almost four years,” Trump said. “When they allow millions of people to come into our country, from prisons, right? From prisons. And terrorists, and people from mental institutions, and they take over our parks. Look at New York – you can’t play Little League baseball anymore.”

Trump also addressed the forthcoming vice presidential debate, saying that he does not expect that his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), will get a fair shot from leftist CBS News moderators Margaret Brennan and Norah O’Donnell.

“He won’t get a fair shot. But he will handle it very good,” Trump said. “I think he’s done great. People are really liking him. He’s tough, smart, he loves our country. He’s going to have no trouble.”
