Violent robbery pair slashes NYC deli worker on head during stick-up – all for $2 soda bottle: cops, sources

A violent robbery duo slashed a Brooklyn deli worker on the head during an early Thursday stick-up – all for a measly bottle of soda worth $2, cops and sources said.

The pair barged into the gas station deli on Sutter Avenue near Euclid Avenue in East New York around 4:20 a.m., brandishing a knife at the 30-year-old worker as they demanded money, according to authorities and sources.

A pair of muggers cut a Sutter Avenue deli worker on the head and ran off with a $2 bottle of soda, cops and sources said.

When a worker tried to stop the suspects from removing items from the store, the knife-wielding perp struck him on the forehead with a knife, police said.

The determined delinquents still managed to swipe a bottle of soda worth $2, the sources said.

The pair, only described as males with medium complexions, then hopped in a black vehicle and drove off on Sutter Avenue, cops said.

The worker was taken by responding EMS workers to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

No arrests had been made by later Thursday.
