White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivers remarks during White House press briefing – January 31, 2025

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will speak to the press this afternoon before President Trump signs an executive order and meets with California Governor Gavin Newsom and Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump will be meeting with the Texas governor to discuss border security and deportation efforts at 2:30 pm ET.

At 4 pm ET, the President will meet with the California Governor to discuss wildfire cleanup and rebuilding efforts.

Newsom is reportedly expected to beg for more federal funds after Democrats’ mismanagement of California allowed wildfires to devastate Los Angeles County.

President Trump to Meet With California Governor Gavin Newsom and Texas Governor Greg Abbott Today at White House

The President is also scheduled to sign his No Men in Women’s Sports Executive Order today at 3 pm, The Gateway Pundit reported. Notably, comes as the female athletic community celebrates the 39th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

Other topics Leavitt is likely to address include Trump’s imminent shut down of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), border security his successful tariff threat against Canada and Mexico, and Tuesday’s visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The press conference is scheduled to begin at 1 pm ET.
