A woman was found dead inside a car sitting in a long-term parking lot of John F. Kennedy International Airport on Thursday afternoon, according to photos and authorities.
Port Authority police received a report of an unresponsive woman in her vehicle at long-term parking lot 9 of JFK airport near Aqueduct Road and Lefferts Boulevard in Jamaica at around 2:10 p.m., according to the PAPD.
Photos from the scene showed a body covered with a sheet on the ground beside the open door of a white car, though authorities would not yet confirm if the woman died.
EMS responded to the lot after cops made the grisly discovery, cops said.
A section of the parking lot remains closed, but there are no other impacts to airport operations or traffic in the surrounding area, police added.
Additional details about the woman, including her ID, were not immediately available.
