Woman’s body pulled from water near NYC’s South Street Seaport

A dead woman was found floating in the East River near the South Street Seaport on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The body of the unidentified woman, believed to be in her 30s, was discovered around 2:30 p.m. in the water just off South and Fulton streets, according to the NYPD and FDNY.

Her corpse was pulled from the river in the area of Piers 16 and 17 and pronounced dead on the scene by EMS, officials said.

The woman has yet to be identified, but she is believed to be in her 30s, cops said. Citizen App

There were no visible signs of trauma to her body, cops said.

The city medical examiner’s office will officially determine how she died.
