Fur-ever friends!

The world’s tallest and smallest dogs proved that true friendship comes in all sizes during a heartwarming playdate where the pair of anomalous pooches had a ball.

Reggie, a 7-year-old Great Dane who stands at a staggering 3 feet 4 inches, and Pearl, a 4-year-old Chihuahua who measures in at 3.59 inches, became quick pals when they met for the first time in Idaho earlier this month, according to the Guinness World Records.

Their owners were delighted when their canine’s massive 3-foot height difference – the equivalent of a baseball bat or an acoustic guitar – didn’t stop the playful hounds from wagging their tails with glee before plopping on the couch together at Reggie’s home.

“When Pearl meets bigger dogs, she is really friendly,” said owner Vanesa Semler, who traveled from Florida with her teacup-sized pup, who she described as a true diva with an affinity for fashion and having her nails painted.

“I think she has no idea she is a small dog. Normally she’s really playful with bigger dogs, she just wants to be around [them].”

Pearl, who is half the size of Reggie’s head, playfully zipped between her new friend’s giant legs before the adorable pair posed for photos, wandered the house sniffing everything inside and scampered in the backyard, according to the Guinness World Records.

Sam Johnson Reiss knew her gentle giant, who drinks water straight from the faucet, would initially be cautious around Pearl, but was shocked the tiny chihuahua wasn’t more skeptical at first.

“I was surprised Pearl wasn’t more afraid of Reggie,” Reiss, who described Reggie as a “big baby” who “acts like a human toddler,” told the Guinness World Records.

“But she was so excited and interested in him, and he was just like ‘Whoa, I have no idea what that is!”

The pair of owners reflected on the record-breaking achievement that brought their canines together as a way to celebrate their unique life and enshrine the unconditional love they provide to each of their homes.

And they’re confident that their furry tykes will remain friends forever.

“It’s almost surreal. I feel like mostly because he doesn’t even know, like he doesn’t have a clue how big of a deal it is or how cool or important it is,” Reiss said of the historic recognition.

“I think if Reggie gives happiness to any one person, that’ll be great for him, and it’s a really great way for dogs that maybe aren’t going to be here forever — even though he’s going to live forever — but it’s a special way to immortalize them too.”
