HOLLAND, Ohio — Donald Trump’s eldest son rivaled his father in rhetoric in taking aim at the Democratic opponent Wednesday night in a northern Ohio small town.
In a 30-minute address to a crowd of about 150 just before the former president faced off in Philly with Vice President Kamala Harris in their first debate, Donald Trump Jr. zeroed in on education.
“The number-one thing you, me or anyone can do for their kids right now is get them out of public school,” Trump declared to encouraging applause. “It’s insane. They don’t know math, but they know all 17 secret genders. It’s indoctrination. And if she wins, it’ll get worse. It’s going to be the legal, sanctioned kidnapping of our children.”
A school-board member in a neighboring Ohio town attending the rally told The Post Trump was spot on.
“The problem really is the policies,” said the woman, who didn’t want to be identified. “We don’t need to be teaching sexuality. We need get back to just teaching again. The current culture is confusing kids and keeping good teachers out of the classroom.”
Trump was in town to stump for Bernie Moreno, a businessman who’s taking on longtime Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown in a race that may decide majority control on Capitol Hill.
“I don’t want the White House unless we have the House and the Senate too,” Trump said. “We’ve been there before. That’s why we need to vote the entire ballot. We need to vote all the way down to the dog catcher.”
Moreno echoed that sentiment wholeheartedly.

“I need everyone here to vote and vote early,” he cajoled the crowd in closing. “It does not have to be this way. Life doesn’t have to be this way. We’re gonna take our country back. And it starts right now.”
The Ohio Senate race is closer than ever, with Brown leading Moreno by just 2 points in the latest The Hill/Emerson poll.
