A group of masked anti-Israel demonstrators marked the anniversary of Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre by setting up an encampment outside freshman Jewish Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman’s Cincinnati home.
Dressed in all black, the protesters arrived outside Landsman’s home Sunday bearing sleeping bags, cots and tents — staying the night and antagonizing the lawmaker’s loved ones.
“My daughter and I will be attending a service to bear witness to the atrocious terror attacks of October 7th. Meanwhile, these people will be outside of my house, in an attempt to intimidate my Jewish family every time we try to leave our home,” Landsman said in a statement.
“They’ve done this to my staff and me for nearly a year, and now they’re doing it to my family and neighbors. I don’t think they have any boundaries at this point.”
Landsman’s office said police had been called to escort the congressman’s family in and out of their residence.
“Our family hopes they leave soon and protest in a more appropriate and less intrusive manner,” Landsman added.
On Sunday, the anti-Israel protest group Midwest Direct Action 4 Pali! posted a video on social media of its encampment.
Participants were seen parading around with signs bearing the number 42,612 — representing the estimated number of Palestinians who died in the Gaza Strip as a result of the war sparked by Hamas.
“On the eve of the one year mark since the beginning of the genocide in Palestine, local activists in Cincinnati have gathered outside Congressman Greg Landsman’s house to denounce his votes to conceal the death toll and continue funding mass murder in Gaza,” the group wrote on Instagram.
“We mark in solemn vigil that we will not rest until the genocide is over and Palestine is free.”
Back in June, Landsman was one of 62 Democrats to join House Republicans in backing an amendment to restrict the State Department from citing the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry’s statistics on the death toll.
The Buckeye State Democrat has faced grief from anti-Israel agitators before.
In November 2023, demonstrators put up a poster on a building near his district office with the message, “This Ken supports genocide” over an image of his face — in the style of promotions for the “Barbie” movie.
Landsman later responded to his tormenters, saying they “vandalized the wrong building,” having targeted a non-profit group for women struggling with addiction and facing domestic violence.
