Former President Joe Biden has signed with Creative Arts Agency, a rep announced on Monday, indicating that the 82-year-old may try to imitate Barack Obama’s ventures in Hollywood after leaving the White House.
Biden was previously represented by CAA after he left the vice presidency in 2017 until he became the Democratic presidential nominee in 2020.
During that period, Biden published his book “Promise Me, Dad,” and went on an “American Promise” speaking tour across the country.
CAA also reps Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground media company, which has produced nearly two dozen films and TV shows — including the Oscar-winning documentary “American Factory” — and podcasts featuring the former first couple.
Biden has not specifically revealed what his life will look like in the coming years, but had said in the final days of his term that he expected his voice to continue to influence politics.
“We’re leaving office, we’re not leaving the fight,” he told his supporters after leaving Washington alongside first lady Jill Biden on Jan. 20.
The 46th president has not spoken publicly since that day, and has confined himself to posts on X.
“Just got off a call with Ken Martin to congratulate him on his victory,” Biden said Saturday after the Minnesotan was elected chair of the Democratic National Committee.”I know he’ll help ensure Democrats continue to fight for working people and stand up to the abuse of power. Together, we will choose possibility over peril and empower more Americans to believe that the America of our dreams is closer than we think,” he added.
“We just have to keep the faith and spread it.”
