HOWELL, Mich. – Former President Donald Trump blasted Vice President Kamala Harris’ “anti-police” policies in a law enforcement-centered speech in Michigan Tuesday, as his campaign rolled out plans to get tougher on crime – including pursuing the death penalty for child rapists and a return to “stop-and-frisk” strategies nationwide.

Trump accused her of being on an “anti-police crusade” and supporting “extremist, pro-crime, anti-police” policies, such as “defund the police.”

“We will never even think about defunding the police,” said Trump, flanked by local Michigan sheriffs. “The concept is so chilling and so horrible.”

“We’ll re-fund the police,” he vowed.

Trump blasted low arrest rates under Biden and Harris, arguing that the current administration “goes after guys like me but they don’t go after people that kill people.”

He also blamed Harris for a crime spike since he left office.

“Since comrade Kamala took office,  her own administration’s crime statistics show she has presided over a 43% increase in violent crime, including a 58% increase in rape, 89% increase in aggravated assault, and a 56% increase in robbery,” Trump said.

Major cities are “almost all run by Democrats,” Trump said, “you can’t walk across the street to get a loaf of bread. You get shot. You get mugged. You get raped. You get whatever it may be.”

“Kamala Harris will deliver crime, chaos, destruction and death,” Trump argued. “I will deliver law, order, safety, and peace. And I will protect those who protect us.”

The former president, standing in front of three gleaming Livingston County Sheriff’s Department SUVs, also promised to provide law enforcement with “reinforcements” if he’s elected in November.

“Under my leadership, we will make a record investment in hiring, retention, and training for police officers,” Trump said.

The Trump campaign announced his support for the death penalty for child rapists, a return to “stop and frisk” policing and felonies for doctors who perform transgender surgeries on minors without parental consent.

The 78-year-old presidential candidate was also meant to vow to “aggressively prosecute dangerous criminals who violate existing gun laws and promise to provide members of law enforcement “reinforcements” if he’s elected in November.

He also vowed to close the southern border and “get all of the bad ones out.”

“We’re going to get it done fast,” Trump said.

Before his remarks on Tuesday, Trump exclusively told The Post that he believes Harris’ “terrible job” as President Biden’s border czar makes her roadmap to victory much tougher than his as Election Day approaches.

“She was in charge of the border and it was the worst and weakest border in history … the job she did is a disgrace,” the former president said.

“She should be the underdog because she did such a bad job,” Trump added.

Harris has consistently maintained that she is an “underdog” in the race, even as polls have tightened considerably nearly a month since she replaced Biden, 81, at the top of the Democratic ticket.

“Kamala Harris will deliver crime, chaos, destruction and death,” Trump argued. “I will deliver law, order, safety, and peace. And I will protect those who protect us.”
