2025 Heisman odds: Colorado’s Travis Hunter faces stiff competition entering Week 12

Madness ensued Saturday in the college football, leaving a significant imprint on the current Heisman landscape.

In particular, Miami’s upset road loss to Georgia Tech saw Cameron Ward, the betting favorite for the Heisman for much of the year, fall down the oddsboard.

Let’s look at the current odds via FanDuel Sportsbook and see if there are any intriguing options on the board.

Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter (+120)

Now the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, two-way phenom Travis Hunter has had an incredible season.

He has 856 receiving yards, nine touchdowns, 20 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions on defense.

Colorado is now the favorite to win the Big 12, and if the Buffaloes make the College Football Playoff, Hunter would earn a ton of love from Heisman voters.

Up next: Colorado is favored by 10.5 points at home against Utah

Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel (+320)

Dillon Gabriel had a modest 183 passing yards in a win over Maryland on Saturday, though he did add three more touchdowns to his season tally.

Gabriel doesn’t have overwhelming raw output — he ranks eighth in passing yards (2,848) and sixth in passing touchdowns (22), but the Ducks are poised to enter the Big Ten championship with an undefeated record.

Up next: Oregon is favored by 14.5 points on the road against Wisconsin

Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty (+350)

After another 209 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday, Ashton Jeanty’s historic season continues. He leads the FBS with 1,734 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns, putting him on pace to potentially break Barry Sanders’ rushing records.

However, I’m still doubtful that a running back from Boise State can win the Heisman Trophy, and that hasn’t changed as the Broncos continue to play low-profile games off the national radar.

Up next: Boise State is favored by 13.5 points on the road against San Jose State

Miami QB Cameron Ward (+800)

Miami is no longer undefeated after a surprise loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday, although it wasn’t Cameron Ward’s fault. The Hurricanes’ star logged another 348 passing yards and three touchdowns, and he leads the FBS with 3,494 yards and 32 touchdowns this season.

The Canes still control their own destiny in the ACC, and a conference championship with this type of output would put Ward in a strong position in the Heisman race.

I’d consider a bet at this 8-1 price.

Up next: Miami is on bye in Week 12

Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke has his team 10-0 heading into a matchup with Ohio State on Nov. 23.

Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke (+1400)

Kurtis Rourke had his most challenging game of the season last week, finishing with just 206 passing yards and two touchdowns with an interception in a narrow win over Michigan.

Rourke and the Hoosiers get a bye week to prepare for a loaded Ohio State defense next week.

I’m rising on Rourke as a draft prospect for the upcoming cycle, but the path to the Heisman is unlikely.

Up next: Indiana is on bye in Week 12

Alabama QB Jalen Milroe (+1800)

In a pivotal road game against LSU with massive implications in the SEC and College Football Playoff races, Jalen Milroe delivered a signature performance on the ground. He finished with 185 rushing yards and four touchdowns as the Tigers’ defense had no answers for his rushing.

Milroe’s raw numbers aren’t good enough to win the Heisman, barring a massive finish to the year, but the Crimson Tide now has the second-best odds to win the SEC behind only Texas.

Up next: Alabama hosts Mercer (betting odds not listed)

Betting on College Football?

Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart (20/1)

In the biggest game of Jaxson Dart’s college football career, Ole Miss won a massive game over Georgia on Saturday.

The path for Dart to win the Heisman isn’t inconceivable. He leads the FBS in passer rating with 22 touchdowns to four interceptions, and the Rebels now rank third in SEC odds. The tiebreakers in the conference are mind-numbingly complicated, but if the Rebels win out and take home a conference title, Dart’s Heisman odds will undeniably shorten.

Up next: Ole Miss is on bye in Week 12
