Oscar Piastri took McLaren’s first win at Spa since Jenson Button in 2012, and with Lando Norris second, the team claimed their sixth one-two finish of the 2025 season.

McLaren dominated, with Piastri ahead by 3.41 seconds as he took the chequered flag.

Lewis Hamilton made it up to seventh after starting 16th.

Heavy rain fell at Spa on Sunday afternoon. As a result, the Formula 3 feature race was cancelled, and the start of the grand prix was delayed for an hour and 15 minutes.

The race started at 16:20 local time (15:20 BST) with four laps under the Safety Car before the action got going from a rolling start as the drivers crossed the line for Lap 5.

Read the report by ESPN’s F1 reporter Nate Saunders at Spa-Francorchamps.

We will be back next Sunday afternoon for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
