Here at Bracketology HQ, we track every result every night, ranking and re-ranking what will eventually comprise the NCAA tournament’s field of 68. We’re updating the bracket every Tuesday in December before moving to twice-weekly updates in January.
Bracket Watch
The Duke Blue Devils entered this season with the highest of expectations. That tends to happen when you’re Duke and you bring in the most highly touted newcomer in years. Yet after a pair of cupcake wins to open the schedule, Duke suffered high-profile losses to Kentucky and Kansas and fell off the radar a bit, falling all the way to a 3-seed at Thanksgiving. In December, though, it’s no exaggeration that Duke has performed at a Final Four level. Giving a dominant Auburn squad its only loss of the year was our first indication, and the Devils backed it up with a six-game winning streak, a solid start to ACC play (2-0) and an 18.7 ppg margin of victory during the streak. Other than spotty 3-point shooting, Cooper Flagg has delivered as expected, and the Blue Devils are very much in the national championship conversation. Their return to the top line of our latest bracket also puts them on a path to a No. 1 seed for the first time since 2019.
