Connor McDavid can add another NHL milestone to his resume.

The Oilers superstar recorded his 1,000th career point on Thursday night against the Predators when he scored less than three minutes into the second period.

He not only reached an impressive individual milestone but also did so in record-setting time.

With the goal, McDavid became the fourth-fastest player to reach the 1,000 mark for points — doing so in 659 career games.

In doing so, he also is now the fourth-youngest player at 27 years, 306 days to achieve the milestone.

After the Predators gave away the puck, Darnell Nurse quickly moved it up to Leon Draisaitl, who took it into the offensive zone and set up McDavid for the one-timer.

McDavid became the 999th player to reach the 1,000-point plateau in NHL history.

Only legends Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Mike Bossy have reached the mark faster.

The Oilers star has lived up to the billing that was advertised for him when he first came into the league as the first overall pick in the 2015 draft.

“I don’t think there’s been a player like him before,” Draisaitl told NHL.com prior to the milestone. “I don’t think there’s [been] a player that can create out of nothing, ever in hockey. You get into 1,000 at his age and how few games he’s played, it’s mind-blowing at times to see him break all of these records.

“But there’s a lot of work that goes into it for him and a lot of people don’t see. We’re very fortunate we get to watch him and see him every day and see how much he cares about the game of hockey, how much he cares about himself. I’m very fortunate to be able to learn from him and watch him do his thing. It’s just fun to watch, it really is.”

McDavid had five goals and 17 points coming into Thursday’s game after helping lead the Oilers to a Stanley Cup Final appearance last season.
