Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes have been proactive in the transfer portal — and they already struck gold.

Colorado landed a commitment from San Jose State star receiver Danny Scudero, the nation’s receiving yards leader, ESPN reported Sunday morning.

Scudero wasted no time packing his bags for Boulder, landing with the Buffaloes just two days after announcing his entry into the transfer portal.

The 5-foot-9, 174-pound sophomore caught 88 passes — tied for the fifth-most in the country — for an FBS-high 1,291 receiving yards for the Spartans in 2025.

He logged six games with 130-plus receiving yards and topped out with a 215-yard, two-touchdown explosion against Hawaii on Nov. 1.

Scudero earned first-team All-Mountain West honors and was named a semifinalist for the coveted Biletnikoff Award, presented to the nation’s top receiver.

The nod ultimately went to USC’s Makai Lemon.

Scudero spent his freshman year at Sacramento State — compiling 52 receptions for 664 yards and five touchdowns — and brings two years of eligibility to Colorado.

He headlines an already strong transfer haul for the Buffaloes, who are actively retooling after a brutal second season under Coach Prime.

Colorado went just 3-9 in 2025, finishing second-to-last in the Big 12 and ranking outside the nation’s top 100 in both points and total yards per game.

Scudero’s signing provides first-year offensive coordinator Brennan Marion with some legitimate firepower as he attempts to revive the stagnant attack.

On Saturday, a day before nabbing Scudero from the Spartans, the Buffaloes corralled Sacramento State running back Damian Henderson and Miami (OH) wideout Kamryn Perry.
