George Pickens takes shot at Eagles fans in since-deleted post after Cowboys’ upset win

George Pickens first broke the spirit of Eagles fans by pioneering a 21-point comeback Sunday.

He then went after their beloved food.

Pickens allegedly went after Philadelphia fans and their prized delicacy in the comments section of an Instagram post by celebrity Eagles fan Gillie Da Kid after the Cowboys’ stunning 24-21 win Sunday.

“Weakass Philly fans,” Pickens allegedly posted before deleting, as captured in a screenshot. “(Racial slurs) known for sandwiches. 🥪🥷🥷🥷💙🤫”

Pickens certainly had the upper hand when it came to gloating after helping the Cowboys pull off an improbable victory that could play a huge role in Philadelphia’s postseason seeding.

The Eagles grabbed a 21-0 lead before the Cowboys scored 24 straight unanswered points, with Pickens leading the way with nine catches for 146 yards and one touchdown.

His one-yard score with 21 seconds remaining in the first half cut the lead to 21-7, and he caught a 24-yard pass with less than one minute remaining to set Dallas up at the Eagles’ 22-yard line for Brandon Aubrey’s 42-yard game-winning field goal.

While the Cowboys (5-5-1) likely can’t make the playoffs, their upset bumped the Eagles from the top seed in the NFC to the the No. 2 seed, which does not come with a bye.

Eagles fans surely tried to lessen their misery by eating some cheesesteaks, but Pickens may have even ruined that delicacy for the day.

For Pickens, his strong showing continued what has been a sensational first year in Dallas working alongside star receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Pickens leads the team with 67 catches for 1,054 yards and eight touchdowns, and has topped 130 yards on four occasions and in back-to-back games

He is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, although he said he would “love to be back.”

The Cowboys could franchise tag him in the hope of a long-term deal or a potential trade, although it may be tough for Dallas to negotiate a long-term deal considering other investments.

Dallas acquired Pickens from the Steelers after a controversial run with the franchise, which featured standout moments but also bouts of immaturity.

“I’ll have to wait probably until that comes,” Pickens said of a potential franchise tag, per NFL.com. “I can’t really see in the future, so I’ll have to wait until it gets here.”
