A great coach who is “done in one place” versus a great coach who is “just done” is an important distinction to make.

NFL history reveals more examples of the former than the latter, and the Giants are betting a $100 million contract that John Harbaugh (fired by the Ravens) is another example of benefiting from a change of scenery. Some team will place similar faith in Mike Tomlin in 2027.
