The Giants’ Malik Nabers injury scare appears to be just that — and nothing worse.
Brian Daboll said that the rookie wideout, added to the injury report Thursday after experiencing knee soreness, will practice Friday and is expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the Commanders.
Nabers caught five passes for 66 yards during the Giants’ season-opening loss.
“No concern,” Daboll said. “He’ll be ready to play.”
Daboll also said the wideout Darius Slayton (concussion) was cleared to practice with contact Friday and is “trending in the right direction,” but he still has one more stage of the protocol to clear before determining his status.
The more significant variable, though, revolved around Nabers.
And his latest practice availability suggests that it could be a best-case outlook for the Giants.
