Jalen Ramsey is getting hit with a fine by the NFL for his altercation with Ja’Marr Chase.
The NFL ultimately fined Ramsey $14,491 for punching the Bengals wide receiver after Chase had previously spit on him, NFL Network reported Saturday.
Chase, 25, was issued a one-game suspension for his actions, and will lose $507,156 for being unable to play against the Patriots on Sunday.

When the play was happening early in the fourth quarter during the Steelers’ 34-12 win over the Bengals on Nov. 16, officials originally didn’t see Chase spitting on Ramsey — which was why the All-Pro wideout wasn’t given a second unsportsmanlike conduct.
Following the game, Chase said he didn’t spit on Ramsey, telling reporters that he “never opened his mouth to that guy.”

Video taken by FOX 19, however, clearly shows Chase indeed spitting on Ramsey during the heated moment.
Ramsey, 31, told reporters after the game that Chase spit on him, saying he did not “give a f–k about football” after that happened.
“He spit on me, so it’s up,” Ramsey said. “I don’t give a f–k about football after that, respectfully.”

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin seemingly did not see a problem with how Ramsey handled the situation.
“I have no message if someone spits in your face,” Mike Tomlin told reporters Tuesday. “Do what comes natural.”
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor addressed the incident on Monday, saying that Chase was “crossing the line,” but he ultimately backed up his player.
“Obviously what happened is crossing the line. He’ll own up to that,” Taylor said. “Ja’Marr is one of my favorite players. I love how this guy handles everything that he’s been a part of.
“So making one mistake doesn’t disregard everything this guy’s done that’s been positive for us.”
