Jordan Love’s return to the Packers will be delayed for at least another week.
Green Bay’s starting quarterback was ruled inactive for Sunday’s game against the Titans, with former Tennessee QB and current Packer Malik Willis getting the nod.
Love, 25, suffered an MCL sprain on the final drive of the Packers’ 34-29 loss to the Eagles in Brazil on Sept. 6.
ESPN reported earlier this month that Love — in the first year of a four-year, $220 million contract extension — would be sidelined for around three to four weeks.
Willis, 25, started in place of Love last week in the Packers’ 16-10 win over the Colts.
The third-year quarterback completed 12 of 14 attempts for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Sunday’s game marks Willis’ return to Nashville after being traded by the Titans in August.
He was the team’s third-round pick in 2022.
When asked about facing his former team and the idea of proving them wrong, Willis insisted there’s no ill will.
“I could care less, bro. I think I got paid the whole time I was there,” Willis said, according to The Athletic. “I’m more than blessed for the opportunity they’ve given me, and they brought me into this league, whether those guys are there or not.”
The Titans are riding with second-year quarterback Will Levis, who is coming off back-to-back losses.
The former second-round pick drew the ire of coach Brian Callahan last week when an ill-fated toss turned into a Titans’ turnover in a 24-17 defeat to the Aaron Rodgers-led Jets.
Callahan, in his first season at the helm in Tennessee, appeared to shout from the sidelines, “What the f–k are you doing?”
The Titans (0-2) and Packers (1-1) kick off at 1 p.m. from Nissan Stadium.
